Moving through Quicksolver is made easier with the integration of navigational tools. This section of help identifies these tools and how they are used to enhance your Quicksolver experience. Explanations and screen shots are provided for the following Quicksolver navigation tools: action menu, combo box functionality, execution pane, field help text, keyboard shortcuts, lower tool bar, large list navigation, open items navigation area, policy navigation area, and Quicksolver icons.
Actions menus 
are displayed throughout Quicksolver
on all screen types. Action menus are transaction specific and display
all available actions that may be taken. The menu varies based on
the screen, transaction type, and status. Select the desired action by
clicking on the link in the menu.
Each menu provides specific actions available for the item to which it applies.
Main Window Action Menu example
Combo boxes in Quicksolver that contain large lists are searchable. By typing in a few characters, the list values are filtered, making the selection process quick and easy. The matching characters are highlighted to indicate why they are present in the list.
Field-level help appears on the left side of the lower tool bar. Pause on a field to reveal help text associated with the field. An up arrow indicates there is additional text. To reveal the additional text, first click on the field then hover on the help text.
The lower tool bar is located at the bottom of the policy window and contains command buttons that affect the current work. When action icons are illuminated, they are available for use. The lower tool bar displays action icons applicable to the current workspace such as rate, worksheets, forms and save.
Sequential Access Controls allow movement through location and vehicle lists. This control box will appear when the mouse is placed next to the Search box.
As an alternative to using the arrows, clicking on the down arrow on the Search box will display a complete list which allows you to click on the selection needed.
The open item navigation area is located on the Main screen and displays all transactions currently open.
The number displayed represents the number of open items for an account. You may open or close items from the open item navigation area by hovering over the item and clicking the X. You may close all transactions for an account by hovering over the counter (which turns to an X) and clicking the X.
Common icons are used throughout Quicksolver. Knowing their meanings helps know what action, if any, to take.
